Abstract

PT Klik Digital Sinergi, a company specializing in digital solution development, still relied on a semi-manual attendance system with different approaches for different employee groups, namely fingerprint machines for office boys and drivers, and attendance reporting through WhatsApp photo submissions for other employees. This system resulted in several issues, including slow attendance data recapitulation, potential recording errors, and opportunities for attendance fraud. This study aims to design and develop a web-based attendance system integrated with a Human Resource Management System (HRMS) to improve the effectiveness of attendance management. The system was developed using the Agile methodology, which includes requirements analysis, planning, user interface design using Figma, usability testing, implementation with Next.js and Tailwind CSS, and system evaluation through Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The developed system provides features such as geolocation-based attendance recording with selfie verification, leave and sick leave requests with document upload, a real-time monitoring dashboard, attendance data validation by Human Resources (HR), and flexible work schedule management. The testing results indicate that all Black Box Testing and UAT scenarios achieved PASS status, demonstrating that the system functions according to user requirements. Furthermore, the system not only implements role-based access control but also supports more structured and accurate attendance monitoring. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the developed web-based attendance system improves attendance recording accuracy, accelerates administrative processes, and supports the digital transformation of PT Klik Digital Sinergi.
