Abstract
Work fatigue is a condition characterized by a decline in physical and mental capacity and is influenced by factors such as workload, working hours, rest patterns, and individual characteristics. Taxi drivers have job characteristics that include long working hours, high demands for alertness, and continuous exposure to work related stress, which may increase the risk of work fatigue. This condition can affect health, including changes in blood pressure. This study aimed to examine the relationship between work fatigue and blood pressure among taxi drivers at PT. Pool Bluebird Kalibata. This study used an observational analytic design with a cross sectional approach. A total of 99 taxi drivers were selected using purposive sampling. Work fatigue was measured using the Swedish Occupational Fatigue Inventory (SOFI) questionnaire, while blood pressure was measured using a digital sphygmomanometer. Spearman correlation analysis showed that the significance value (2-tailed) was p > 0.05, indicating no significant relationship between work fatigue and either systolic or diastolic blood pressure among taxi drivers at PT. Pool Bluebird Kalibata. These findings suggest that blood pressure among taxi drivers may be more influenced by respondent characteristics, such as age and working duration, rather than work fatigue alone.
