Abstract

Improving service quality and patient satisfaction is closely linked to the effective implementation of the Standard Inpatient Class (KRIS). At RSUD KiSA Kota Depok, the adoption of all 12 KRIS criteria has resulted in reduced bed capacity, leading to longer waiting lists and potentially influencing inpatient satisfaction. KRIS itself was introduced to standardize inpatient facilities and infrastructure as a response to persistent service disparities across JKN membership classes. This research examined the association between KRIS implementation and satisfaction among JKN inpatients at RSUD KiSA Kota Depok in 2025. A quantitative cross-sectional design was applied from August to December 2025, involving 100 respondents selected through non-probability accidental sampling. Primary data were obtained using a validated and reliable questionnaire consisting of 41 statements and analyzed using the Fisher’s Exact test. The findings revealed significant associations between patient satisfaction and 8 of the 12 KRIS criteria, including building components (p=0.024), air ventilation (p=0.013), room lighting (p=0.009), room temperature and humidity (p=0.013), ward density and bed quality (p=0.049), bed curtains or partitions (p=0.049), in-room bathrooms (p=0.007), and accessible bathrooms (p=0.022). Hopefully, hospitals can continue to optimize the implementation of KRIS criterias.
