Abstract
New student registration is a common activity at the beginning of each new school year. Almost all educational institutions open registration, competing with each other and each having their own way of attracting new students. In the Bekasi area, there is an educational institution called Bimbel Fadhilatul Ilmi, which does the same thing, namely opening new student registration through the WhatsApp Messenger application. Over time, Fadhilatul Ilmi has continued to experience rapid growth, and every year there has been an increase in the number of new students who want to enroll. Therefore, using the WhatsApp Messenger application as a tool for registration is not the best option for accepting new students because the data obtained is still not organized and structured properly, and it takes a long time to process. In addition, the process of recapitulating registrant data is still done manually by recording it in notebooks or on paper, which is prone to errors, data loss, and complicates the reporting process. Given these problems, an information system is needed to facilitate access to and management of incoming data, as well as to avoid the obstacles encountered. In designing this registration information system, there are several business processes such as registration forms, selection result checks, and report printing that will be created using HTML, CSS, and PHP by applying the Waterfall method as a system development approach, where the process is carried out in stages starting from needs analysis, system design, implementation, to testing in sequence. The results of this research can assist and facilitate the registration process, information provision, and data processing.
