Abstract
This study is a quantitative research that aims to analyze the effect of political connections, government subsidies, and leverage on financial performance, with firm size and firm age serving as control variables. The research was conducted on State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) listed in the IDXBUMN20 Index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019–2024 period. The sample consisted of 17 companies selected using a purposive sampling method. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with Stata MP 17 software. The analytical techniques employed in this study include descriptive statistical analysis, regression model selection tests, classical assumption tests, hypothesis testing, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that leverage has a negative effect on financial performance, while political connections and government subsidies do not influence financial performance.
