Abstract

Physiological changes during pregnancy increase vulnerability during disasters, making preparedness among preganant essential. Floods are recurrent disasters in Indonesia and pose significant health risks, particularly for vulnerable groups. Knowledge and family income are considered important factors influencing disater preparedness. This research aimed to analyze the association between knowledge level and family income with flood disaster preparedness among pregnant women in Katulampa Subdistrict, East Bogor, in 2025. An analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted 79 pregnant women selected using total sampling. Data were obtained using questionnaires measuring knowledge and preparedness levels and analyzed using the Chi Square test. Most respondents had good knowledge (73.4%) and were categorized as prepared (50.6%) or very prepared (49.4%). The majority of respondents had family income below the regional minimum wage (84.8%). Knowledge was significantly associated with flood disaster preparedness (p < 0.001), while family income was not significantly associated with preparedness (p = 0.562). In conclusion, knowledge is significantly associated with flood disaster preparedness among pregnant women, whereas family income not. Strengthening disatester education targeting pregnant women is essential to improve preparedness, particularly in flood-prone areas.
