Abstract
The existence of Instagram as a popular platform has introduced various innovations across its features, including the presence of exclusive content through its exclusive subscription feature. This phenomenon of exclusive Instagram content has also extended to Indonesian national football team athletes, with more than 20 athletes reportedly activating this feature to share content or information on their Instagram accounts. One of them is Kevin Diks, whose followers increased from 761 thousands to 1.5 million, reflecting the high interest in the exclusive content he provides. This study aims to determine and analyze whether there is a significant influence of the motives behind using exclusive content on the @kevindiks2 Instagram account on user satisfaction in obtaining exclusive information about Indonesian national team athletes. The theoretical framework used in this study is the Uses and Gratification Theory. The research employs a quantitative explanatory method, with data collected through an online questionnaire distributed to respondents who met the criteria namely, subscribers to the exclusive Instagram account @kevindiks2 with a sample size of 100 respondents. The results of the study indicate that there is no significant influence between the motives for using exclusive content on @kevindiks2 and user satisfaction in obtaining information about Indonesian national athletes. The coefficient of determination test also shows that the variable of usage motives only contributes 0.3% influence on the user satisfaction variable. The t-test hypothesis test results show that H1 is rejected and H0 is accepted. Furthermore, the t-test on the user satisfaction variable (Y) reveals that only the social integration and interaction dimension meets user satisfaction, while other dimensions such as information, personal identity, and entertainment have not yet fulfilled user satisfaction optimally.
