Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the effect of changes in pulley angle (15°, 14°, and 13.5°) and roller weight variations (9, 13, and 15 grams) on increasing torque on a 125 cc matic motorcycle. The problem raised in this research comes from the performance of the manufacturer's standard CVT transmission system which is considered less than optimal, especially in terms of acceleration and engine power distribution. Tests were conducted systematically using the dynotest method to obtain accurate engine performance data based on a combination of various pulley angles and roller weights. The test results show that the 13.5° pulley configuration with a 13-gram roller produces the highest torque of 10.88 Nm at 7012 RPM, while the combination of a 15° pulley and a 9-gram roller can only produce a torque of 9.71 Nm. Based on these results, it can be concluded that modifications to the pulley angle and roller weight have a significant effect on increasing the efficiency of the transmission system and engine power performance, and can be used as a reference for the development of more optimal motorcycle modifications.
