Abstract

Hypertension has an increasing trend with at least 7.5 million deaths globally. There are two kinds of risk factors for increasing blood pressure, namely factors that can be changed (smoking, stress, diet, sleep quality, and noise) and also factors that cannot be changed (age, family history, and sex). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between factors associated with increased blood pressure. The study design used in this research is a cross-sectional study design with primary data and processed up to multivariate using multiple logistic regression. Based on the results of the study, 68.1% of workers experienced an increase in blood pressures with the most dominant factor being age (POR = 16.508; 95% CI: 1.806 - 150.895). This can occur due to physiological changes in individuals. Eating foods with high isoflavones, such as tempeh, can be processed by boiling or steaming. The isoflavone content in it can help blood vessels relax (widen) so that it can reduce the potential for an increase in blood pressure and even reduce the risk of heart disease and reduce the amount of sodium consumed.
