Abstract
Ineffective and inefficient drug procurement can lead to shortages. To ensure availability, the Pharmacy Installation of Khidmat Sehat Afiat Hospital, Depok City continues to strive to meet drug needs optimally. This study aims to evaluate the procurement policy for drug availability at Khidmat Sehat Afiat Hospital, Depok City in 2024. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The results of the study indicate that the availability of drug procurement input is the number of human resources that are not sufficient even though the quality is adequate, the budget is sufficient, and the policies and equipment facilities have been supported. The drug needs planning process is in accordance with standards, but in the contract agreement there is still a discrepancy between orders and fulfillment from providers. Drug purchases are often constrained by empty stocks and disruptions to the E-Catalog system. Drug distribution and drug receipt often have incomplete distributor documents. The output of drug procurement, namely the availability of drugs is not optimal due to unfulfilled orders and late deliveries. Khidmat Sehat Afiat Hospital has developed a strategy to overcome this obstacle with buffer stock and ensuring the availability of drugs at the provider.
