Abstract

The alleged illegal use of citizens' ID card (KTP) data in the 2024 Jakarta Regional Election (Pilkada) has become an issue that threatens electoral integrity and undermines public trust in the election organizers. This study employs a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents and analyzing the data using correlation tests and simple linear regression. The findings indicate a negative and significant relationship between data breaches and public trust, meaning that the larger the scale of the data breach, the lower the public's trust in the election organizers. The majority of respondents perceive the data breach as highly severe, as it involves sensitive information that can identify individuals. Furthermore, respondents consider the election organizers to be non-transparent, lacking competence, and failing to maintain integrity in protecting voter data.
