Abstract

Background: Labor can be done normally or through Sectio Caesarea procedure. Induction failure is one of the indications that often leads to SC, which can cause pain after surgery. Pain management with non-pharmacological methods, such as using Benson relaxation techniques, plays an important role in increasing comfort and helping the healing process. Objective: This study aims to provide nursing care to Mrs. J Post Sectio Caesarea for indications of induction failure at Panglima Besar General Soedirman Hospital. Methods: The research design applied is descriptive method in case study format for data collection, various techniques have been applied such as interview, physical examination, observation, and documentation. Result: After providing treatment for three days to Mrs. J (P2A0), three nursing diagnoses were found, namely acute pain, physical mobility disorders, and risk of infection. Nursing interventions carried out include pain management, mobility support, and infection prevention. The evaluation results showed an improvement in the patient’s condition in each nursing diagnosis. Conclusion: Nursing care for Mrs. J (P2A0) post Sectio Caesarea with indication of induction failure showed an improvement in the condition after the application of nursing interventions in accordance with the nursing diagnoses that have been identified.
