Abstract
Background: Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix. This condition causes acute abdominal pain and requires immediate surgery to prevent very dangerous complications such as gangrene, perforation, and even general peritonitis. The treatment is with appendectomy surgery. In post-appendectomy care, patients generally experience pain in the wound area, risk of infection and temporary digestive disorders. Objective: Conducting nursing care analysis on post-appendectomy patients. Method: The scientific writing method used is a case report in the form of nursing care for post-appendectomy patients, for three days starting from the first day after appendectomy. Nursing care includes assessment, nursing diagnosis, pain management interventions, ambulation support to increase activity tolerance, wound care to prevent infection, implementation and evaluation. Result: The results found were that complaints of pain decreased as shown on a scale of 4 to 2, the patient was able to carry out activities independently, and there were no signs of infection as shown by the wound looking clean. Conclusion: Nursing care for post-appendectomy patients for three days has overcome the problems of acute pain, activity intolerance, and infection does not occur in post-appendectomy wounds.
