Abstract
Cancer is a serious global health concern and one of the leading causes of death, accounting for 10 million deaths worldwide in 2020 (WHO, 2020). According to Pratiwi, cancer patients experience both physical and psychological changes during the disease and recovery process. These psychological changes can directly or indirectly reduce the quality of life of patients. This study aims to identify the relationship between emotional intelligence and resilience levels in cancer patients. A descriptive analytic cross-sectional design was employed to analyze the relationship between the two variables. The chi-square analysis revealed a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and resilience levels (p = 0.011). An Odds Ratio (OR) of 3.062 indicated that respondents with high emotional intelligence were more than three times as likely to have high resilience levels compared to those with low emotional intelligence.
