Abstract
This study aims to describe the level of knowledge of students about the management of cardiac arrest, especially in the context of emergency numbers, at SMA Budi Mulia Tangerang City. Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) is a medical condition that requires immediate treatment to increase the victim's chances of survival. The research method used was quantitative descriptive with data collection through questionnaires distributed to 242 students. The results showed that 100% of students did not have adequate knowledge about the initial steps to treat cardiac arrest, while 45% of students did not know the emergency number to call. In addition, 50% of students have less knowledge about chest compressions and 51.75% about the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). These findings are in line with previous research showing low levels of CPR knowledge among high school students in Indonesia. This study concludes that the level of knowledge of Budi Mulia High School students about the management of cardiac arrest is still very low, so efforts are needed to improve education and training related to first aid, including emergency numbers, to prepare students for emergency situations.
