Abstract

Academic stress is one of the consequences often experienced by medical students due to high academic demands. Poor time management and procrastination are two factors believed to influence academic stress. This study aims to analyze the relationship between time management, procrastination behavior, and academic stress among medical students. This study uses an analytical observational method with a quantitative approach and a cross-sectional design. A total of 90 students, aged 20-23, participated in this study, selected using purposive sampling. The instruments utilized were the Time Management Questionnaire (TMQ), the Academic Procrastination Scale, and the Perceived Academic Stress Scale (PASS). Univariate analysis was conducted using frequency distribution, while bivariate analysis was performed using Fisher’s Exact Test and Likelihood Ratio. The data obtained showed no significant relationship between time management and academic stress (p=0.647). In addition, no significant relationship was found between procrastination and academic stress (p=0.460). Time management and procrastination do not have a significant relationship with academic stress among medical students. Keywords: Academic stress, medical students, procrastination, time management
