Abstract

The potential that Indonesia has to take advantage of tourism is very large, especially for the development of Halal Tourism, judging from the large number of Muslim populations in Indonesia. The problems that halal tourism has in Indonesia are the lack of understanding of halal aspects, as well as the lack of certification and unstable policies. West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is the only region that already has a legal basis that regulates the implementation of halal tourism, NTB has also been known as the World's Best Halal Tourism, but the readiness owned by NTB has not been evenly distributed to all regions in NTB. This study aims to examine how E-WoM, service quality, and Muslim-friendly amenities affect generation Z's desire to travel halal in West Nusa Tenggara. This study employs a quantitative approach, and the sample procedure combines the purposive sampling method with the non-probability sampling technique. The number of samples in this study was 100 respondents who were generation Z domiciled in Greater Jakarta. The data processing in this study uses the Smart Partial Least Square data analysis technique with a descriptive statistical method. The results obtained in this study are that Muslim-friendly facilities and service quality have a significant influence on the interest of generation Z to travel halal in West Nusa Tenggara. However, the electronic word of mouth (E-WoM) variable does not have a significant influence on interest in halal tourism.
