Abstract
The high job demands placed on workers can cause vulnerability to burnout. Burnout is a reaction to prolonged work stress. Burnout can be influenced by many factors, including an imbalance between personal and work life, high workload, and low social support. This research aims to determine the relationship between work life balance, workload, and social support burnout in workers of PT PLN (Persero) Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3) Garut in 2024. The research design used is cross-sectional with observational analytical methods. Data was collected using a questionnaire instrument with 32 male workers as respondents. Data were analyzed using the univariate test approach and the bivariate chi-square test. Univariate results showed that 18 respondents (56.2%) had a high work life balance, 16 respondents (50%) had a moderate mental workload, 16 respondents (50%) had a heavy mental workload, 17 respondents (53.1% ) received high levels of social support, and 18 respondents (56.2%) experienced low levels of burnout. Bivariate results show a relationship between work life balance and burnout (p-value = 0.015) with high work life balance reducing the risk of burnout 0.114 times (OR = 0.114; 95% CI = 0.023 – 0.569). However, there was no relationship between workload and social support with burnout.
