Abstract
This research discusses the implementation of e-government by the General Election Commission (KPU) of Bogor Regency in organising the 2024 General Election. This research aims to analyse how the KPU of Bogor Regency uses information and communication technology (ICT) in the election process. As a government agency that has begun to utilise technological sophistication into a new breakthrough to serve the community. E-governance, as the use of information and communication technology (ICT) to support more effective, efficient, and transparent governance, is expected to overcome various challenges of traditional bureaucracy. e-governance is able to accelerate administrative processes, increase information accessibility, and facilitate public participation in decision making. E-government is an important innovation that supports transparency, efficiency, and public participation in the electoral process. This research uses qualitative research methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of relevant documents in a descriptive qualitative study. The results showed that the KPU of Bogor Regency has endeavoured to improve transparency and efficiency in organising the 2024 General Election by using an integrated information system and digital technology. This research also found that the implementation of e-government by the KPU of Bogor Regency has increased public participation in the electoral process and increased public trust in the electoral process as well as improved services provided to the community and also political parties during the election process. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the development of a more effective and efficient e-government system in the organisation of elections in Indonesia.
