Abstract
This study examines the impact of internet access availability on the political participation of the Parakanlima Village community, referring to Bimber's Online Political Engagement Theory. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with primary and secondary data sources. The sampling technique employed is Non-Probability Sampling. This study involves six testing stages: Validity Test, Reliability Test, Correlation Test, Simple Linear Regression Test, Coefficient of Determination Test, and Hypothesis Test. The results indicate that the availability of internet access has a positive and significant influence on the political participation of the Parakanlima Village community, with a strong correlation of 0.884. Based on the coefficient of determination test, the variable of internet access availability contributes 78.1% to political participation, while the remaining 21.9% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. The hypothesis test confirms a significant influence between internet access availability and the political participation of the Parakanlima Village community, with H0 rejected and H1 accepted due to the strong impact found from internet access availability on the level of political participation in Parakanlima Village.
