Abstract

In response to the education challenges faced by Vietnam, UNICEF, as an organization focused on child protection, seeks to advance the rights of children around the world by implementing SDG 4 targets related to education. Education is a basic right of children that is guaranteed by the state for the future of the nation. One of the ways UNICEF supports SDGs 4 is through collaboration with SM Entertainment in the "SMile for U" program. This program aims to equalize access to music education for children in Asia and develop their talents. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with secondary data sources. The data collection technique used in this research is through a literature study involving various documents, reports, and publications related to the SMile for U program. The existence of improvements in the field of education is evidence that the SMile for U program has been successfully implemented. This is reinforced by UNICEF's mature strategy involving public figures such as Choi Siwon. Choi Siwon's presence as a goodwill ambassador not only helped in attracting public attention, but also increased public support for the program. The positive impacts achieved, such as increased access to music education, inclusion, and community awareness, demonstrate that cross-sector collaboration can create significant and sustainable changes for children's well-being, especially in the field of education. This success also reflects the effectiveness of UNICEF's approach in leveraging celebrity influence and networks to support humanitarian and educational causes, and the importance of synergies between non-governmental organizations and the entertainment industry in achieving sustainable development goals.
