Abstract
Background: Bronchial Asthma is a disease characterized by narrowing of the respiratory tract due to inflammation, causing shortness of breath, chest pain, and wheezing. The causes of Bronchial Asthma include allergens originating from genetics, viral infections, and pollution in the patient’s environment. Methode: The study data collection method in this case uses 1 sample patient with a diagnosis of Bronchial Asthma with aged 20 years. The intervention was carried out as many as 3x therapy meetings for 3 weeks at Dr. M. Goenawan Partowidigdo Lung Hospital Cisarua Bogor. Results: The results of the case study showed an increase in the Barthel Index score, where the examination carried out in the first therapy obtained a score of 70 with the conclusion that the patient had moderate dependence and in the last therapy a score of 95 was obtained with the conclusion that the patient had mild dependence. Conclusion: Physiotherapy management in cases of bronchial asthma is carried out using vital signs, inspection, palpation, auscultation, percussion, fremitus, thorax cage measurements, barthel index, and dyspnea severity scale with postural correction, infrared, breathing control, pursed lip breathing, deep breathing, and chest mobility as an intervention.
