Abstract
Adolescents often face challenges related to both undernutrition and overnutrition. According to the 2018 Riskesdas, among adolescents aged 13-15, 1.9% are severely underweight, 6.8% are underweight, 11.2% are overweight, and 4.8% are obese. For those aged 16-18, 1.4% are severely underweight, 6.7% are underweight, 9.5% are overweight, and 4% are obese. The rate of overnutrition in adolescents aged 16-18 has increased from 1.4% in 2010 to 9.5% in 2018. Additionally, adolescent girls exhibit a higher rate of overnutrition (11.4%) compared to boys (7.7%). This study aims to explore the relationship between the consumption of vegetables and fruits, physical activity, and knowledge of balanced nutrition with the prevalence of overweight among female students at SMA-IT Albinaa Bekasi. An observational analytic method with a cross-sectional design was utilized. The study's population included 206 individuals, with 108 selected through stratified random sampling. Statistical analysis using the chi-square test revealed no significant association between vegetable and fruit consumption and obesity (p=0.912). However, physical activity (p=0.001) and knowledge of balanced nutrition (p=0.002) were significantly associated with being overweight. Overall, physical activity and balanced nutrition knowledge play a critical role in the overweight status among female students at SMA-IT Albinaa Bekasi. Keywords: Vegetable And Fruit Consumption, Physical Activity, And Balanced Nutrition Knowledge, Overweight
