Abstract
This research aims to determine the political outreach carried out by KPU Kota Depok during the 2020 regional elections during the Covid-19 pandemic. In the 2015 regional elections, there was an increase in the number of white groups (abstentions) by 3%, or 592,227 votes (49%), whereas in the 2010 regional elections, the abstention rate was 481,363 votes (46%). The increase in the number of white groups (Golput) in the 2015 Depok City Pilkada is certainly a worrying phenomenon in the context of the declining enthusiasm for participation by Depok City residents. Furthermore, in the 2020 regional elections, the number of abstentions decreased to 451,625 votes (37%) and voter participation increased by 6.64%, namely 777,737 votes. This research uses a qualitative approach and the type of research used is descriptive-analytical. The concept used is the Regional Election Organizing Institution and Political Socialization. Meanwhile, the theory used is Rush and Althoff's Theory of Political Socialization. This research uses data collection techniques through interviews and literature study. The research results show that the role of KPU Kota Depok in socializing the 2020 Pilkada can be seen from collaboration with stakeholders as political socialization agents who spread political values to the people of Depok. Socialization materials that are structured and appropriate to voter segments, mechanisms in the form of voting simulations, as well as socialization patterns involving PPK and PPS and utilizing social media.
