Abstract
Based on the results of the incident regarding the operation of forklifts, there were 22 incidents in 2023 and 3 incidents from January to February in 2024 related to near miss incidents during the operation of forklift vehicles that have occurred at PT X. The purpose of this study is to evaluate safe operation on forklift vehicles at PT X. This research is qualitative with a Rapid Assessment Procedure research design that uses data collection methods through observation, in-depth interviews and document review. The research was conducted at PT X from April to June 2024. The subjects of the research were determined by purposive sampling technique and resulted in 7 informants. The results of the research will be analyzed and validated by triangulation of sources, techniques and theories. The results of this study show that most of the components such as man, method, machine, operation and maintenance are in accordance with applicable standards, but there are still discrepancies found, namely in the materials component where some of the indicators do not meet the standards. It can be concluded that in general the implementation of safe operation of forklift vehicles at PT X has met the standards based on Permenaker Number 8 of 2024, but there are findings that have not met the standards, namely the path through which the forklift is potholed. It is hoped that signs can be given to areas that have damage and immediately make repairs consistently and in accordance with applicable standards.
