Abstract
The global electrification trend has led to a technological transition in the automotive sector. This is the result of the energy dynamics agenda discussed at the international discussion forum. This research focuses on Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Honda) in its take-off stage on technological transition. Domestic and foreign government support contributes to Honda through investment and regulation. The global value chain that occurs in Honda's technology transition process in EV development shows the structural changes. Honda cooperates with foreign and domestic companies in the form of joint ventures (JV), joint research & development, and other cooperation to build a global value chain. Honda cooperates with companies from various countries such as LG Energy Solution from South Korea, General Motors from the US, and CATL from China. As a result of this research, it was found that Honda, created a global value chain in its technology transition process to face the global electrification trend. Initiatives to cooperate with various companies followed by government support are seen to have taken place since 2020-2023.
