Abstract

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is a popular worldwide tool for managing documents using electronic systems in healthcare. PERMENKES Nomor 24 Tahun 2022 stipulates that healthcare facilities must use electronic medical records (EMR). This research aims to examine the medical records of the RSU South Tangerang City and diagnose the readiness of RSU to use the EMR system using the method of Doctor’s Office Quality-Information Technology (DOQ-IT). The research was carried out with a cross-sectional design and a large sample study of 172 respondents determined through purposive sampling techniques. Analyze research data univariately, bivariate with chi-square, and simple logistical regression. The results of the research showed that RSU South Tangerang City is very prepared to implement Electronic Medical Records seen from human resources components, organizational work culture, governance and leadership, as well as infrastructure and information technology. Bivariate analysis indicates that there is a significant correlation between the human resource component, organizational work culture, and governance and leadership (p-value ≤ 0.05). Hospitals are expected to be able to implement EMR efficiently by ensuring that all components are included in the implementation plan. Implementation processes need to include socialization and training for employees, provision of software, hardware, and IT support.
