Abstract
This research aims to discuss the Implementation of Digital Literacy on the Political Participation of Beginner Voters Regarding Hoax Issues in the 2019 Election. Case Study in Cilandak Barat Subdistrict uses the theory of Political Participation. This type of research uses descriptive research which uses a qualitative approach which describes the condition of an object or research subject related to primary data sources obtained from interviews and secondary data sources from journals, articles, theses, theses and related data and information that can be accessed on sites on the internet. The results of this research show that digital literacy provides a correlation to understanding hoax issues in the 2019 Election. Optimal digital literacy can be used as reinforcement and encouragement to realize active political participation in countering hoax issues. The role and efforts of related institutions such as the South Jakarta KPU, South Jakarta Bawaslu, South Jakarta Kesbangpol and West Cilandak Subdistrict are also spearheading the successful political participation of novice voters in countering hoax issues with digital literacy.
