Abstract

In the era of advancing digitalization, the use of information technology has become crucial in various fields, including education. One important aspect of higher education is the completion of a final project. To complete their education and obtain a bachelor's degree, undergraduate students must complete a thesis, which is a scientific paper in a particular field of study. The process of submitting thesis titles at UPN Veteran Jakarta, especially in the Informatics Study Program, is often still done conventionally, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Therefore, this research aims to develop a Website Management System that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the thesis proposal submission process for students of the Informatics Study Program at UPN Veteran Jakarta. This system is designed to facilitate lecturers and administration in the process of approving thesis proposals and is equipped with a title similarity detection feature to minimize plagiarism. The research results show that the implementation of this system can reduce waiting times and expedite the approval process of thesis proposals, providing significant benefits to students, lecturers, and administration.
