Abstract
Workload is the main cause of burnout commonly happened in the nursing field. Increased workload must be supported by the worker's physical condition; otherwise, it will lead to symptoms of burnout syndrome among nurses. The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between nurses' workload and burnout syndrome in the Emergency Department (ED) of RSUD Kota Bogor. The research design uses a descriptive analytic method with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used is total sampling, with a sample size of 51 ED nurses at RSUD Kota Bogor. The results of the Spearman rank test analysis show a p-value of 0.225 (p-value > 0.05), indicating no significant correlation between the nurses' workload and burnout syndrome in the ED of RSUD Kota Bogor. This may occur because the nurses possess good coping mechanisms and are supported by a positive work environment. Future researchers are encouraged to expand the variables tested to include coping methods and the working environment of nurses, as well as to increase the population and sample size to yield more comprehensive results.
