Abstract
Clean energy has become a major focus of study for actors in International Relations. The tangible environmental impact underscores the urgency to transition from fossil fuel powered transportation to cleaner energy. This research aims to analyze the role of Tesla in the transition to electric vehicles and clean energy using a political ecology approach, examining the impact and technological innovations, particularly Tesla's Artificial Intelligence, in influencing electric vehicle and clean energy regulations in the United States. This study employs qualitative methods with data sources obtained through Document Studies. The research finds that Tesla plays a role in promoting the adoption of electric vehicles and clean energy policies in the United States during Joe Biden's era, following significant regulatory changes during Donald Trump's era. The results indicate that Tesla is not only a manufacturer of electric vehicles but also acts as a political pressure capable of altering policies. This study emphasizes that in Political Ecology, actors can influence their environment.
