Abstract
Background: Acute Coronary Syndrome is one of the highest mortality rate cardiovascular diseases worldwide, which is the clinical manifestation of acute partial to total coronary blood flow disorders to the myocardium, caused by atherosclerosis. Methods: This case study is descriptive with a single case study approach at RSUD Tarakan Jakarta. The inclusion criteria in this case study were patients aged >35 years with a medical diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome and compos metis who were willing to become respondents. Data collection used were interviews, observations, document studies and physical examinations. Specific interventions performed on patients are progressive muscle relaxation, back massage and thermotherapy. Results: The assessment obtained by the patient is shortness of breath on exertion and improves with rest, chest pain does not radiate, such as pressure, pain scale 6, and accompanied by a dry cough. Diagnoses that arise are decreased cardiac output, ineffective breathing patterns, and acute pain which are carried out namely cardiac care, acute cardiac care, airway management, monitoring respiration, and pain management. Implementation in accordance with specific interventions for 3x24 hours. Evaluation of partially resolved problems on day 3.
