Abstract
Background: According to Riskesdas data in 2018, it shows that the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders/musculoskeletal disorders in Indonesia as much as (7.30%). Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are disorders of the muscles, nerves, tendons, joints, cartilage, and supporting structures in the upper and lower extremities. Musculoskeletal disorders that occur in housewives have a high prevalence, showing that housework can be a risk factor for developing musculoskeletal disorders. Musculoskeletal disorders develop over time due to repetitive activities, causing stress and injury to the tissue. Objective: to determine the relationship between housewives' physical activity and musculoskeletal disorders. Method: This research method uses cross-sectional with a correlative approach. The sample in this study was housewives. The parameters used in this research are questionnaires IPAQ-SF is used to measure physical activity levels and Nordic Body Map Questionnaire to measure musculoskeletal disorders. Results: This research found that the highest level of physical activity in the sample was in the moderate category, 73.3%. Correlation test results Spearman, the result was p = 0.000 for the physical activity variable and musculoskeletal disorder until p<0,05 with a correlation coefficient namely 0.920, then this value indicates a strong correlation strength. Conclusion: that there is a relationship between physical activity and musculoskeletal disorder on a sample of 90 housewives in RW 014,Cibubur, East Jakarta.
