Abstract
Diarrhea is one of the diseases that can cause death, it turns out that diarrhea cases in Indonesia are still relatively high. To minimize the use of irrational drugs, it is necessary to provide diarrhea self-medication education, one of which is the CBIA method. So that the level of knowledge and attitudes of the community becomes better. This study aims to determinde whether education with the CBIA method affects the level of knowladge and attitudes of the community in Cinere District. This study is a quantitative research that uses pre-experimental with the design of One Group pretest posttest. Sampling is done by purposive sampling. A valid and reliabel questionnaire was used an instrument in this study. The questionnaire result of 98 respondents were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test on SPSS. In this study, the level of knowladge and attitudes varied the majority of respondents had good knowledge 89,8%, and had a good attitude 71,4%, after being given education there was an increase of 100% good knowledge and 82,7% had a good attitude. There is a difference (P < 0,05) between pretest and posttest scores. Self-medication education for acute diarrhea with the CBIA method affects the level of knowledge and attitudes of the community in Cinere District.
