Abstract

Work stress is a state of tension that affects a person's emotional condition, way of thinking and physical condition. Work stress management is necessary by utilizing existing resources to overcome mental and emotional problems that occur due to a response that is useful for reducing work stress levels. This research was conducted to determine the effect of stress management intervention on work stress in casual workers for the 2023 Antasari Place PT The research method used was quantitative with a pre-experimental study design with stress management interventions in the form of muscle relaxation, giving rewards and additional food 3 times within 1 week on 33 casual project workers as research samples determined using the Lemeshow method. Data analysis was carried out before and after the intervention with a normality test using the Shapiro-Wilk formula and then a t-dependent statistical test was carried out. Sampling was taken using a simple random sampling technique and data collection techniques using The Workplace Stress Scale questionnaire. The research results showed that there were differences in the level of work stress in respondents before and after being given stress management intervention (p-value=0.000). It is recommended to reduce work stress levels by providing work stress management in the form of progressive muscle relaxation, providing rewards and additional foods.
