Abstract
Riau Province is ranked sixth from the bottom of 34 provinces in Indonesia based on the Food Security Index (FSI) value in 2022. Although the IKP value of Riau Province is low, Riau Province has a steady increase in IKP value every year. Food security can be seen from two indicators, namely physical and economic access, which are related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely goal 2. The purpose of this research is to see areas that have optimal and non-optimal food security values based on physical and economic access conditions. This research uses a sustainability analysis technique, namely Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA). By using Tosmana software. The population of this research is 12 regencies/cities in Riau Province. The results showed that there were six areas with optimal food security, namely Dumai, Meranti Islands, Kuantan Singingi, Pelalawan, Siak, and Indragiri Hilir, while there were four areas with non-optimal food security, namely Indragiri Hulu, Kampar, Rokan Hulu, and Rokan Hilir. The relationship between physical and economic access conditions on food security supported by local government programs is expected to have a positive impact on improving food security in all regions of Riau Province.
