Abstract
Chronic kidney disease is a progressive condition based on an immune imbalance and prolonged systemic inflammation. These two things affect the function of lymphocytes and platelets and can be described through the platelet lymphocyte ratio (PLR). Knowledge of the relationship between PLR and chronic kidney disease stages can be used for prognosis and determining appropriate management. Objective: To determine the relationship between PLR and the stages of chronic kidney disease at Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital. Methods: This research is an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional design. Data was obtained from the medical records of patients with chronic kidney disease at Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital from July 2022 to July 2023 using the simple random sampling method. 142 respondents met the inclusion criteria. Bivariate analysis uses the Chi-Square Test. Results: This study shows a significant relationship between the platelet lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and the stages of chronic kidney disease at Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital (p = 0.000). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between platelet lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and the stages of chronic kidney disease at Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital.
