Abstract
This study aims to determine and describe the impact of Manhaj Salafi on the behavior of novice santri voters ahead of the 2024 election using Voting Behaviour theory and to provide information about the issues discussed in this study. In this study, the method used is quantitative by using primary and secondary data sources, primary data sources are taken from paper questionnaires that have been distributed to samples. Firstly, the sampling technique begins with the Slovin formula to determine the number of samples followed by random sampling to determine the names of the students to be used followed by cluster sampling to determine the samples to be used from the three groups. Secondly, the data analysis technique used is inferential statistics. The final results of this study indicate that the Salafi manhaj affects the voting behavior of the santri, where the santri fall into the voters of sociological factors and rational choice. That practically can be said that Manhaj Salafi has a significant effect in shaping the political views, voter preferences, and political participation of santri. Santris tend to vote for candidates who are in accordance with the understanding of Manhaj Salafi, however there are also those who choose abstention due to the incompatibility of the method of electing state leaders with the views of Manhaj Salafi.
