Abstract
Objective To compare the growth of 1-2 year-old children at Permata Hospital, Depok with a history of full-term and preterm LBW. Method In September 2023, an observational analytical study using quantitative study methods and cross-sectional study design was carried out at Permata Hospital, Depok. Total sampling was used as the sampling technique. Subjects who met the inclusion criteria were weighed by a scale. The World Health Organization (WHO) weight-for-age growth chart represents the subjects' weighted results. The Z-score from the growth chart will be categorized as severely underweight, underweight, normal, and risk of overweight. This study compared the growth category between the full-term and preterm children with history of LBW. Result The 48 subjects were mostly male (66.67%), aged between 12-15 months (39,6%), were born by cesarean section (83.3%), and had exclusive breastfeeding history (64.6%). Most subjects who had previously experienced low birth weight at full-term and preterm stages were categorized as normal, with percentages of 70.8% and 75% respectively. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test resulted in a p-value of 0.893. Conclusion Children between ages of 1 to 2 years who have a history of full-term and preterm LBW do not differ significantly in their growth.
