Abstract

Personal data can be collected in a database which later becomes the property of the company and the database can be used irresponsibly by the company, this is feared to have a negative impact on consumers who own the data. Therefore, legal protection is needed to maintain a sense of security between the lender and the loan user. This research was conducted using a normative juridical method. In principle, the State has provided protection to online loan consumers as regulated as consumer rights in the Consumer Protection Act and the Financial Services Authority has also provided protection to consumers in the form of consumer loss prevention measures, complaint services to legal defense of consumers in the consumer sector. financial services. Indonesia and Norway regulate the principles of personal data protection, Norway regulates notification of breaches or failures in the protection of personal data, Notification of failures in personal data protection is made in writing to the data owner no later than 14 days after the data protection failure is known, Norway also regulates general requirements where if there is a breach of personal data, it must be notified to the supervisory authority (The Norwegian Data Protection Authority) and the data owner. Actions that must be taken by the government are to better synergize the regulations that have been regulated by law in order to create a sense of security for the community, the government implements criminal sanctions for criminals.
