Abstract

The completion stage carried out by finishing workers at Bintaro Jaya Xchange Phase II took a long time in an unergonomic body posture while working, causing pain in the skeletal muscles known as Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). These complaints affect the decline in productivity caused by the health condition of workers. The purpose of this study was analyze the relationship between works posture, age, years of service, duration of work, smoking, and exercise habits with complaints of MSDs. The research method is quantitative analytic with a cross- sectional study design. The subject in this study were finishing workers at Bintaro Jaya Xchange Phase II which collected 65 people using the total sampling method. The statiscal test used is the Chi-Square test. The results of the analysis showed work posture (p-value=0,001, POR= no POR was obtained because there were cells whose value), age (p-value=0,026, POR=0,273), and work duration (p- value=0,008, POR=5,547) has a significant relationship with MSDs complaints. Therefore, it is recommended to improve body posture while working in accordance with risk control, both form workers and the company.
