Abstract

Nutritional status is a condition that is influenced by the balance of nutrient intake consumed through food with nutrients needed for body metabolism. Some of the indirect causes of nutritional problems related to body image, eating disorders, and stress levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between body image, eating disorders, and stress levels with the nutritional status of nutrition students UPN Veteran Jakarta. This research method uses a quantitative approach with cross sectional study design. The sample of this study was 101 students using a stratified random sampling technique. Data analysis in this study used a chi-square statistical test with data collection using questionnaires and anthropometric measurements. The results of bivariate data analysis showed that there was a relationship between body image (p = 0.017) and eating disorders (p = 0.025) with nutritional status but there was no relationship between stress levels (p = 0.173) and nutritional status of nutrition students UPN Veteran Jakarta. Respondents can change the perception of negative body image into positive body image by accepting their own body shape and applying good eating behavior so that eating disorders do not occur.
