Abstract
Along with the times, modes of transportation in human history have become more sophisticated because more and more technologies have produced quality software to support the development of transportation, including ships as transportation in the ocean. Ducktail is a renewable innovation for barrier reduction. Ducktail is an additional construction on the ship which is located at the stern precisely on the ship's transom. Ducktail can be combined with a strip plate as a lowering resistance, because the strip plate is one of the materials that are often found in ship construction. Basically, the strip plate is also one of the multifunctional properties, it can also be used on home properties. The use of strip plate as the base material for ducktail is then calculated and simulated on the software, namely CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). CFD supports technological developments because CFD simulates a project with almost perfect.
