Abstract
Stunting in adolescents is a form of poor nutrition, the presence of infection and pressure from the environment that is collected from the time when someone is in the womb until he enters early adolescence. The existence of the COVID-19 pandemic has also caused the stunting problem in adolescents to become more severe due to the disruption of the socio-economic factors of parents, coupled with internal factors from the youth themselves who also have a high risk of being the cause of stunting. This study aims to determine the relationship between the factors that cause stunting in adolescents and the incidence of stunting in adolescents at Darul Ilmi Depok Junior High School. The method used is a cross sectional study, with a simple random sampling technique with a total sample of 132 adolescents consisting of students in grades VII, VIII, and IX. Data analysis using Chi-Square statistical test with p-value significance (<0.05) showed that there was a relationship between nutritional intake (p=0.003), level of knowledge of balanced nutrition (p=0.000), number of siblings (p=0.010) and one of the socio-economic indicators of parents is parental income (p=0.003) with the incidence of adolescent stunting. However, on other socio-economic indicators of parents, there was no relationship between father's education (p=0.076), mother's education (p=0.139), father's occupation (p=0.102) and mother's occupation (p=0.804) with the incidence of stunting in children. teenager.
