Abstract

Anemia is a decrease in the amount of hemoglobin below normal as well as an underlying symptom such as lack of nutrients needed in the formation of red blood cells which causes the oxygen carrying capacity to decrease. Basically anemia is caused by malabsorption, frequency of blood donation, and consuming unbalanced food. Anemia can be described in adolescents who have hemoglobin (Hb) values <12 g / dl. This study aims to determine the relationship of nutritional knowledge, eating patterns and nutritional status with anemia of young women in the village of Tegalwangi Menes. This research is observational with cross sectional approach. Respondents were chosen based on coincidence, with incidental sampling technique whereby anyone who accidentally met with the researcher can be used as a sample. If you see someone who happened to be found suitable as a source of data. Data taken by interviews included the characteristics of respondents, eating questionnaires using the Food Frequency Questinonnaire (FFQ). Data processing was performed using the Chi Square Test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between nutritional knowledge and anemia (p = 0,000). There was no significant relationship between diet and anemia (p = 0.277). And there was no significant relationship between nutritional status (IMT/U) and anemia (p = 0.748).
