Abstract
Public transportation plays a vital role in supporting people's daily mobility. Nevertheless, the Integrated Jabodetabek Transportation Development Study (JUTPI) Phase 3 (2025) indicates that traffic congestion remains a major issue due to the high reliance on private vehicles. Meanwhile, data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) in August 2025 reported that the TransJakarta fleet reached 5.05 thousand units, representing an increase of 1.30%. However, this increase was not accompanied by a rise in the number of TransJakarta passengers, which instead declined. This study aims to analyze the influence of exposure to the TikTok social media account @ahmadrifyannur on the fulfillment of information needs regarding TransJakarta transportation. The research employed a quantitative explanatory approach using a simple random sampling technique. The study population consisted of all followers of the TikTok account @ahmadrifyannur, while the sample comprised 100 respondents determined using the Taro Yamane formula. The results of the coefficient of determination test indicate that exposure to the TikTok account @ahmadrifyannur accounts for 44% of the fulfillment of information needs regarding public transportation. The remaining 56% is influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. Furthermore, the hypothesis testing results show that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected. Therefore, exposure to the TikTok account @ahmadrifyannur has a significant effect on the fulfillment of information needs regarding TransJakarta transportation.
