Abstract

The modern culinary industry is currently required to provide fast and practical digital services to improve operational efficiency. Nawa Everyday, a culinary MSME in East Jakarta, still faces obstacles in a manual ordering system that causes long queues, risks of recording errors, and inefficient menu access that still uses physical books or Google Drive links. This study aims to design and build a QR-Code-based menu ordering system that allows customers to order independently from their respective tables. The system development uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which is iterative and participatory, supported by PIECES analysis to evaluate system requirements comprehensively. The software is built using the Node.js and Express.js frameworks on the backend, React.js and Tailwind CSS on the frontend, and database integration for real-time transaction management. The result of this research is a web-based ordering platform capable of automatically recording orders per table, facilitating coordination between the cashier and the kitchen, and providing sales reports for admins. The implementation of this system is expected to accelerate the service process, reduce manual workload, and enhance the digital customer experience at Nawa Everyday.
