Abstract
The prevalence of hypertension among people aged 18 and over has reached 8.6% and 30.8%. College students, as part of the young adult age group, are susceptible to hypertension due to unhealthy eating habits, consuming foods high in purines, increased stress, and sleep disturbances, which can trigger vascular damage and activate the neurohormonal system. This study aims to analyze the relationship between dietary factors (BMI, uric acid) and psychosocial factors (stress, sleep quality) with blood pressure among students of the Faculty of Medicine at UPN “Veteran” Jakarta, Class of 2024.
