Abstract

PT Bank KB Indonesia Tbk, as one of Indonesia’s commercial banks, continues to strive to improve its financial performance to face competition in the banking industry. Profitability plays a crucial role as a key indicator of the bank’s ability to generate profits and the effectiveness of its resource management. This thesis aims to analyze the profitability performance of PT Bank KB Indonesia Tbk for the 2021–2025 period using the ROA, ROE, NIM, and BOPO ratios. This analysis employs a descriptive method using secondary data derived from the annual financial statements of PT Bank KB Indonesia Tbk for the 2021–2025 period. The analysis demonstrates that the company’s profitability performance during the observation period remains suboptimal. This is reflected in an average ROA of -4.58%, which falls into the “very poor” category; an ROE of -36.78%, which falls into the “very poor” category; a NIM of 1.41%, which falls into the “poor” category; and a BOPO of 121.56%, which falls into the “very poor” category. This indicates that the company’s ability to generate profits and its level of operational efficiency remain low. Nevertheless, by 2025, improvements in several profitability ratios begin to emerge, indicating a recovery in the company’s performance.
