Abstract
Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases commonly experienced by adults and can cause various serious complications if not managed properly. One non-pharmacological approach that can be used to lower blood pressure is through anti-hypertension exercises. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of anti-hypertension exercises in lowering blood pressure in families with adults who have hypertension. The study was designed using a case study method with interventions conducted three times a week for 30 minutes, through a family nursing care approach that included assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation stages. Blood pressure was measured using a digital sphygmomanometer before and after the intervention was given. The results showed a decrease in blood pressure in the patients, with an average systolic pressure decreasing from 153.33 mmHg to 149.67 mmHg and diastolic pressure from 93.33 mmHg to 90.33 mmHg, with an average decrease of 3.66 mmHg and 3.00 mmHg, respectively. Based on these findings, antihypertensive exercise has been proven effective as a non-pharmacological intervention in blood pressure management in hypertensive adults, implying that it can be incorporated into family nursing care that can be applied daily
